AboutKaty 

Katy is a freelance sub-editor and writer, and a qualified, professional counsellor – her aim is to provide soulful, reflective pieces that integrate her journalistic and counselling experience, encouraging a sense of curiosity, adventure and wellbeing in readers.

 

Katy has written for The Guardian, The Times, Red magazine and Scarlet and sub-edits regularly for The Independent, The Lady, What's On TV, Newsweek, Monocle and other consumer magazines including Woman and Home, Marie Claire, Glamour, Elle, Chat, Pick Me Up, NME, Now, Look, and previously for The Times and Sunday Times newspapers. Prior to that she was a Samaritans helpline listener as well as the official copywriter for the charity, and a production editor and assistant publishing editor for science journals and for the Royal College of Surgeons respectively.

Katy is a trained, professional counsellor and life coach and sees clients in private practice and in a GP surgery.

She hosts a weekly mental health and music chat show for Boogaloo Radio.
